Location

Searcy is ideally located within easy driving distance of Little Rock. With all the conveniences of the big city nearby, Searcy maintains a small town warmth and friendly feel. Harding Place is uniquely positioned on the campus of Harding University providing endless opportunities for educational, social, physical and spiritual activities. Harding Place is perfectly situated for the active retiree.

Harding Place is a non-denominational Christian environment that takes pride in giving back to the community. We have a host of parties and activities which give our seniors the freedom to show the community their independence and sense of pride to be a part of Harding Place.

Spacious and Personal

Harding Place has 115 Independent Living apartments with four unique floor plans from which to choose. They are designed to maximize your personal space – each with an affordable all-inclusive monthly fee. Apartments are spacious and designed to accommodate your cherished personal belongings to make Harding Place your home. Each apartment is complete with neutral colored, high quality carpeting to complement any decorating theme. The kitchens have surprisingly ample storage and are equipped with a full-sized refrigerator/freezer, oven and range. Also, the two-bedroom apartments have a dishwasher.

Lyceum Card Privileges

Join our family at Harding Place and receive this Harding University Lyceum Card. The card entitles the carriers access to a wide range of cultural events including American Studies Institute speakers such as Former President George Bush, Margaret Thatcher, and many more.

Also included are the Lyceum musical events that are scheduled for both semesters of each year, the weight room, swimming pool, library and much more. Another use for this card is a lovely luncheon that is served every Sunday at Harding University called the Alternative Sunday Lunch. Everyone at Harding Place is invited to eat at this luncheon. Harding University is famous for the wonderful plays, musicals, the Distinguished Lecture series and other events. We literally have something to look forward to every week.

Independent Living

Each residence will be unfurnished, allowing you to provide the furnishings which truly create the personal warmth of your own home. However, the following amenities will be included:

    * Wall-to-wall carpet

    * Kitchens with refrigerator/freezer, sink with garbage disposal, range and oven

    * Two bedroom apartments are furnished with a dishwasher

    * Pre-wired for cable television, internet, telephone and emergency call

    * Spacious bathrooms with shower/tub enclosure and walk-in showers available

    * Individually controlled thermostat for your personal comfort

    * Fire sprinklers and smoke alarms

      At Harding Place, there is much more... you'll find an environment that encourages activity and living life to the fullest. Your monthly rent also provides the following:

    * Three nutritious well-balanced meals each day, Monday through Saturday with brunch on Sundays.

    * These wonderful meals are provided in the elegant dining room.

    * All utilities and cable television

    * Housekeeping service and laundering of linens plus laundry facilities for your
personal items

    * 24-hour staffing

    * Scheduled transportation to local shopping, banking, and medical facilities

    * Maintenance on all furnished appliances, buildings and grounds

    * Use of common facilities in the Computer Center, Crafts Room, Library/Study, Beauty/Barber Shop and private areas to host your special guests

Harding Place is located on the campus of Harding University and managed by Beacon Communities, a Georgia-based senior living management company.  Beacon Communities was established in 2000 and has been involved in full service management, development and consulting of senior housing communities, including active retirement living, assisted living and memory impaired care.
